Hearts have two players nominated for PFA Scotland awards.
Craig Gordon is in the running to be crowned Player of the Year, while Maria McAneny is up for Women’s Young Player of the Year.
Skipper Craig has been in sensational form this season, helping the Jambos to third place in the league, a Scottish Cup final and guaranteed group stage European football, with a string of stunning saves.
Already voted into the PFA Scotland Premiership Team of the Year, along with fellow Jambo John Souttar, Craig is up against Regan Charles-Cook, Callum McGregor and Tom Rogic for the honour of being named as the country’s top player.
17-year-old Maria has been in fine form for Hearts Women this campaign. The midfielder has hit four goals in 25 appearances, contributing six assists.
A regular for Scotland at youth level, Maria will be hoping for a double celebration this week when the Gorgie girls meet Celtic on Sunday with a place in the Biffa Scottish Women’s Cup final at stake.
