Djoum's Cameroon beaten by Brazil

21st November 2018

Arnaud Djoum lined up for Cameroon against five-time world champions Brazil last night.

The Hearts midfielder played 90 minutes in the Indomitable Lions’ 1-0 friendly defeat at Stadium MK.

29-year-old Arnaud came up against the likes of Neymar, Willian and Firmino, winning his 17th cap in the process.

Everton’s Richarlison headed the only goal of the game on the stroke of half time.

Chris Hamilton was an unused substitute as Scotland U19s qualified for the European Championships Elite Round yesterday.

The young Scots took the lead against Sweden in Wales through Billy Gilmour but fell behind in the second-half, only for Wolves’ Elliot Watt to equalise with seven minutes remaining.

The 2-2 draw sent Billy Stark’s side through to the Elite Round, unbeaten and top of their group after yesterday’s result followed wins over Wales and San Marino.

Scotland are in pot B for the draw that will take place on December 6th. The seven group winners will qualify for the finals in Armenia next summer.
