Arnaud Djoum has capped off a successful day for Hearts players in international football terms after being called up to the Cameroon squad.
Fans’ favourite Arnaud started his youth career in Belgium but was born in Cameroon’s capital city Yaounde, hence his eligibility for Les Lions Indomptables (The Indomitable Lions).
The midfield powerhouse has made 40 appearances for Hearts since signing back in September 2015, and has scored 7 goals.
This will be his first foray into full international football, having previously played for Belgium’s U20s side. Cameroon will play Gambia in an African Cup of Nations qualifier on September 3rd before facing Algeria in a friendly match three days later.
