Determined to win

26th February 2016

Robbie Neilson speaks of his determination to take maximum points over the next week, starting with Kilmarnock on Saturday.

Robbie Neilson is looking for his players to win their next three games and continue looking up the table.

The Jambos begin a run of three matches at home in the space of a week, starting with the visit of Kilmarnock to Tynecastle tomorrow.

Head coach Robbie insists his lads must strive to pick up a full nine points so they can continue their ascent up the Ladbrokes Premiership table.

Speaking to HeartsTV, he said: “There’s definitely a real determination to pick up full points over the next few games.

“We want to take nine points from these games.

“It’s important that we do that, one, to get ourselves cemented in the top six and two, start gunning for Aberdeen.”

Tynecastle could be heading for a 12th league sell out this season, and Robbie believes you cannot underestimate the positive impact a full house can have upon his team.

“It makes a huge difference to the players,” he said. “It’s great to run out at Tynecastle in front of full houses. It’s one of the best places you can play.

“To have that backing has been great. Our responsibility is to work hard and entertain, and that’s what we’re going to try and do.”

Robbie’s interview is available to watch in full on HeartsTV.
