Dario's new deal

11th March 2016

Dario Zanatta pens contract extension to May 2019.

Dario Zanatta has committed his future to Hearts by signing a new three-year contract.

The Canada U20-cap has been handed a deal until May 2019, after impressing Robbie Neilson since his arrival from Vancouver Whitecaps in August last year.

A mainstay of Jon Daly’s U20s side, the 18-year-old has made 10 first-team appearances so far this season.

Speaking to HeartsTV, Dario admitted that his progression at the club has taken even him by surprise.

“Not at all, I didn’t expect it all to happen so quickly,” he said. “I’ve just gone on with it. I’ve started with the U20s and been progressing quite well recently, and moving forward into the first team has been really good.

“I’m really excited and really delighted to move forward so far.

“I’ve enjoyed my year here so far and I’m just looking forward to carrying on with it and pushing forward.”

Dario’s interview is available to watch in full now on HeartsTV.
