Daniel Stendel says his number one priority at the moment is to get points on the board.
The Jambos host Celtic this evening, four days after a 1-0 Tynecastle defeat at the hands of St Johnstone.
A result that left Daniel disappointed, he insists that all talk of style of play is being put to one side for just now because his team needs to start moving up the league table.
“A lot of things need to change,” he said. “I think we can improve in all things. Saturday was not really a good game. I think we were all disappointed.
“We want to play so much better. What I can say is that the mentality is good in training.
“We can try to change things on the pitch. In the last days I’ve heard the question lots of times ‘can the players play your style?’.
“Every player can play every style, (some) a little bit better, (some) a little bit less better.
“The main thing at the moment is not the style, the main thing is to change the mind and the head.
“I can say I’m positive. I like to change things and I like to look forward to new things. I want to bring this into this group.
“I hope we can see, tonight, at best a big step if not a little step forward and every day there is a little bit more, and we win some games before the winter break.
“We have a lot of players who can take more responsibility. We need to look at the table and we need points. When we have points then we can think about other things.”
