Daniel demands better

7th February 2020

Daniel Stendel has demanded his players go out and show they can win at Falkirk on Saturday after the midweek disappointment of losing to Kilmarnock.

The Jambos mounted a spirited comeback at Tynecastle on Wednesday night but were left to rue giving Killie a three-goal start and were unable to find an equalising goal.

Parking league duty for the weekend, Daniel’s men in maroon head to the Falkirk Stadium this weekend looking to secure a Scottish Cup quarter-final spot for the third year in a row, and the manager insists the tie will be given a huge amount of importance because they want to win every game that they play.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Daniel said: “For all, Wednesday was a big disappointment. We want to play so much better than we played and, especially, we want to win.

“But this is the situation, it’s passed, and the future is Falkirk tomorrow. We keep our confidence and we try to change it.

“In the end, it’s the next game. We can use every game to get a little bit of a lift, (especially) after being down from Wednesday.

“It’s a good chance to show our ambitions. We want to use it and it’s clear that we want to win this game and get into the next round.

“In every game we want to win. Especially after Wednesday, we demand to show that we can play better and win games.”
