Craig targets three points in Paisley

22nd November 2018

Craig Levein is targeting all three points at St Mirren on Saturday when Hearts return to Ladbrokes Premiership duty.

The Jambos resume their league campaign at the Simple Digital Arena following the international break and a win could see them return to the summit of the table, depending on results elsewhere.

Craig knows a tough test awaits in Paisley against a side looking to climb out of the relegation zone, and wants his players to be right at it from the first whistle.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference today, he said: “No, I won’t be taking St Mirren lightly, absolutely not.

“It’s difficult when a new manager comes in and the window is closed and he’s not got an awful lot of opportunities to do what he wants to do.

“They might change in January, I’d imagine, but up until this point Oran’s been searching for results, like all of us are.

“We’re away from home and we need to be right at it to get the three points.

“That’s our intention but I know that it’s going to be difficult.

“The last game was at home and we played them at a time when we were winning every week so it’s slightly different.

“From my point of view it’s really important that we go through there with the intention of getting three points.

“That’s the challenge for me and for the players this weekend.”
