Craig: Keep good Aberdeen run going

Craig Levein looking for his Hearts side to continue good run of form against Aberdeen

Craig Levein is looking for his Hearts side to continue their good record against Aberdeen when the Jambos travel to Pittodrie on Friday night.

The men in maroon are unbeaten against the Dons this season, drawing at Murrayfield and Pittodrie before running out comfortable 2-0 winners over Derek McInnes’ team at Tynecastle a couple of weeks ago.

Craig believes his sides can take confidence from performances against Aberdeen this season as they look to finish the campaign on a high.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Craig said: “We just try and win every match if possible. That’s got to be the focus.

“We had the intention last week of winning at Ibrox but we didn’t do well enough in the game to get the result, but our record against Aberdeen is pretty good recently so I’m hopeful we can get a victory up there.

“We drew 0-0 up at Pittodrie and we missed three glorious opportunities to win that game.

“We had a good performance at Murrayfield against Aberdeen, where Joe Lewis had a fantastic game, if you remember earlier in the season.

“Our performances have been pretty good but we’ve only won one of the matches.

“We’ll go up to Aberdeen to try and win the game and we’ll see what happens.”

Craig’s press conference is available to watch in full on HeartsTV.
