Craig Levein felt frustrated as he left St Mirren Park with only a point after the goalless draw on Saturday afternoon.
"That was a frustrating afternoon," Craig told the media after the game. "After a physically and mentally tough week, one thing I was happy about was that we got better as it went on, but it wasn’t enough to win the game.
"It feels frustrating and I’m frustrated for the players as they put a lot into this week, and in the last third today I thought tiredness showed today."
The biggest blow for the Jambos was Craig Halkett having to limp off early in the first-half, after captaining the side for the first time.
"My biggest disappointment today is Craig Halkett’s knee injury. Last week was the first time that I didn’t need to take someone off before half time so I thought we were over it, then this week its two players.”
“He was involved in a challenge and he’s opened the inside part, the medial ligament, of his knee, so he could be out for a while. He had the armband on today for what he’s done for the team.
"I feel so sorry for him as he was stepping up and becoming the player I thought he would be. I’m sick for him and that’s another of our best players on the sideline for a few months.”
