Copa America defeat for Perry's US

6th June 2016

Perry Kitchen's US fall in Copa America opener.

Perry Kitchen’s Copa America adventure didn’t get off to the best of starts, with the US losing their opening game on Friday.

The Americans went down 2-0 against Columbia in front of over 67,000 in California, with AC Milan’s Cristian Zapata and Real Madrid superstar James Rodriguez the goalscorers.

Jambos midfielder Perry was an unused sub but will be hoping to be in the mix tomorrow night when the US return to action against Costa Rica.

Meanwhile Callum Paterson and Jack Hamilton were unused subs as Scotland crashed to a 3-0 friendly defeat against France on Saturday night.

The hosts cruised to a EURO 2016 warm-up victory in Metz thanks to an Olivier Giroud double and a goal from Arsenal teammate Laurent Koscielny.
