Hearts have today completed the signing of Connor Randall on loan from Liverpool FC.
The 21-year-old versatile midfielder will join up with Ian Cathro’s squad for the duration of the 2017/18 campaign.
Connor is a product of the Liverpool Academy and has been a regular for Liverpool U23s in recent years.
His performances have earned him first team experience under Jurgen Klopp, with Connor appearing for Liverpool in the Premier League as well as in the FA Cup and League Cup.
At his pre-match press conference this afternoon head coach Ian Cathro revealed he had been tracking Connor for some time and pointed to his versatility on the park as being one of his key strengths.
“Connor’s a very hungry young player, athletically excellent and has experience in a number of positions,” he said. “He brings a great intensity to his play and I probably go back to the hunger that he has at this stage in his career.
“He’s a player that I’m really pleased to have been able to bring, he’s someone who we’ve been tracking, probably right since we arrived, as an option from a number of clubs that we talk to and spend a bit of time with.
“We’re pleased that he’s joined us.”
