A limited number of copies of the 100 page, A4-sized commemorative matchday programme produced for the final home match in front of the Main Stand are now available.
On Sunday 7th May, the Archibald Leitch Stand hosted its last ever game before being demolished. The end of a 103-year era was marked with a stunning commemorative programme which, despite a larger than normal print run, sold out before kick-off.
Extra copies were therefore ordered and a limited number of programmes are now available for purchase from the Hearts Clubstore.
No less than 20 pages have been dedicated to the complete history of the Main Stand, with Club Historian David Speed covering everything from its first game in August 1914 all the way through to the modern day.
Take a look inside the Stand through dozens of fantastic photographs of the dressing rooms, corridors, suites and hidden corners of the 103-year-old structure. We also hear from John Robertson as he looks back on his fondest Main Stand memories.
There’s also great stories from the likes of kit man Gordon 'Goggsy' Paterson and Club Photographer Ron MacNeill, as well as a full range of stats covering everything from record appearance and goalscorers to the biggest crowds and highest scores.
Hearts TV commentator Laurie Dunsire reflects on what he’ll miss most about the Main Stand whilst Gary Cowen takes a look at an old programme from a previous match against Aberdeen.
We also take a look back at some of the most memorable matches through the years, including the night the Jambos put Bayern Munich to the sword and the 'de Vries' derby!
There’s also columns from Ann Budge, Ian Cathro, Perry Kitchen and Foundation of Hearts Chairman Stuart Wallace.
Striking images of the Main Stand are sprinkled throughout this 100-page special edition which is a must-have keepsake for Hearts fans young and old.
The 100 page, A4-sized programme is priced at £5 and can be purchased directly from the Hearts Clubstore or by calling the Hearts Ticket Office on 0333 043 1874 (Option 1, then 8).
