Robbie Neilson is set to ring the changes again for tomorrow’s friendly match against Shelbourne.
The head coach made 11 half-time substitutions in the midweek win over Bohemians, and he’s set to follow suit again at Tolka Park to give everyone game-time.
Speaking exclusively to HeartsTV at the team hotel in Dublin this afternoon, Robbie said: “It’ll be much the same as the Bohemians game. We’ve got a few boys who are carrying little niggles and we’ll probably rest a few of them because it’s been a hard week so far.
“In general we’ll probably look to change most of the team at half-time, just to give them all 45 minutes.”
Reports emerged today of possible moves for two Jambos – Dale Carrick and Scott Gallacher – and Robbie explained that he’s spoken to the pair last week to make them aware of the state of play heading into the 2015/16 season.
“I spoke to the two of them when we came back for pre-season, and just kind of gave them my views on things and about getting game-time and what I felt would be best for them,” he said. “They’ve got a decision to make about whether they want to stay here and be part of it, and probably get less game-time than they want, or whether they want to go somewhere else.
“It’s up to those two guys. They’ve been great for us and they’re good characters to have about so it’s ultimately up to them.”
