Carrick heads to Kirkcaldy

Dale Carrick joins Raith Rovers on one-month emergency loan deal.

Dale Carrick has joined Raith Rovers on a one-month emergency loan deal.

The striker will link up with Grant Murray’s side in time for their Championship match against Hibs tomorrow.

Dale has recently returned to full fitness following a spell out injured, and head coach Robbie Neilson is keen for ‘Speedy’ to get some game-time under his belt.

Speaking exclusively to Hearts News, Robbie said: “It was one of the reasons we put Dale out on loan; to get his fitness back up.

"He’s struggled a little bit with injury. He got injured in pre-season, came back and then got injured again. This gives him a chance to go out and play in five really good games.

"Raith have got Hibs, Falkirk, Rangers twice and Livingston so it’s a good chance for him to go and play games and get his fitness up.

"Then he can get himself back 100% for the run-in for ourselves."

Meanwhile, U20s defender Liam Gordon has joined table-toping League Two side Arbroath on a development loan until the end of the season.
