Hearts face a massive challenge against Aberdeen on Saturday but are more than capable of coming away with a win, according to Callum Paterson.
The two teams last met back in September, when the Pittodrie side stunned Hearts with three first-half goals – running out eventual 3-1 winners. The Jambos have remained unbeaten in the league since then, however, and Callum believes they can pick up a win at Pittodrie on Saturday lunch-time.
Speaking to the media on Friday, he said:
“It’s a massive match, probably our biggest one of the season so far. They’re a good side but we’re determined to go out there and right the wrongs from when we played them at Tynecastle.”
Hearts could go one point behind the Dons with a victory, however, Callum is quick to point out that there are plenty of others team capable of pushing on as the season progresses.
“There are several teams out there who can push up near Celtic, not just us and Aberdeen. Look at St Johnstone, they’ve been flying this year and there are other teams doing well too.
“We know what we’re capable of, but we’re still a newly promoted side so we just have to keep at it.
“We’ve got a lot of young talent at the club and hopefully we can hold on to everybody and keep progressing as a team.”
