Billy King played the full 90 minutes for Scotland U21s last Friday and is now hoping to get in on the action against Dundee on Saturday.
The winger was one of four Jambos in Ricky Sbragia’s starting eleven in the 2-2 draw with Ukraine in Paisley and he is now keen to make an impact against The Dee. Speaking to the media at Tynecastle on Friday, Billy said:
“It was good to get 90 minutes under my belt for the U21s on Friday night. I thought I played well, despite missing a good chance!
“I then had a few days off before coming back in for training on Tuesday. We’ve trained well this week and we’re all ready to go for Saturday.
“Obviously I’d be delighted to get a chance against Dundee, so if I’m called upon then I’ll be ready.”
The Jambos are currently on an five game unbeaten run in the Ladbrokes Premiership and Billy insists they have high hopes for the rest of the season.
“Top six remains the overall target but I think we can hope to achieve a top four spot, so we’ll keep aiming high.
“There’s been no easy games, however, but we’re on a good run now and hopefully we can keep that up.”
