Hearts’ official charity partner shortlisted for the Scottish Charity Awards!

Big Hearts Community Trust is in the running for a 2017 Scottish Charity Award.

The Awards celebrate the life-changing work of charities, community groups and individuals dedicated to making Scotland a better place to live.

The Club is delighted to see the Big Hearts Supporters movement, which enlisted over 1,500 Hearts fans, being featured among the most outstanding community projects in Scotland and the only one associated with a football club.

The Big Hearts Supporters movement was launched at Tynecastle in February 2016, enaabling fans of the Club to support charities across Edinburgh. Since then, 130 volunteer supporters have been involved in 21 projects, supporting nine partner charities. Through this initiative, the first of its kind in Scottish football, Hearts supporters have demonstrated how their passion for the Club can be used to make a big difference to the lives of the most vulnerable.

Thank you to all Hearts fans who either expressed their interest or started volunteering in the community in the name of the Club. We appreciate your commitment off the field and the fantastic example you are showing to all other football fans in Scotland.

Big Hearts Supporters will be also competing in the People’s Choice Award, decided by the public.

We encourage every Hearts fan to vote for Big Hearts by clicking on this link. Voting is open until the 26th of May, 5pm.
