Ben Garuccio believes the Tynecastle factor can inspire Hearts to get back on track.
The Jambos host Rangers in Gorgie on Sunday, where the men in maroon haven’t lost a match against the Ibrox side since 2012.
Australian full-back Ben knows that recent results have fallen below the high standards set since the start of the season, but he insists a game of this magnitude doesn’t require any extra motivation on their part.
“The mood is still good,” he said. “Obviously, we need to stay confident. It’s still early on in the season and we had a brilliant start.
“The last five games haven’t been great and we need to find the form that we had at the start of the season and we need to get back to doing the things that were working for us back then and hope that the results can turn.
“It’s a good way to do it this weekend in a huge game at Tynecastle.
“This game is at Tynecastle and I think the Tynecastle record sort of speaks for itself over the past couple of years.
“You see the way that we play at Tynecastle; we play with confidence. The main thing is that we’ve got to go out there and get the punters behind us from the very start of the match and put that pressure on Rangers.
“This is a game that you don’t really need any extra motivation for. A game against Rangers, they’re in front of us so what better way to get back up the ladder than to beat the teams who are in front of you.”
