Arnaud Djoum has revealed he suffered no ill effects after returning to action in yesterday’s Reserve match at Forthbank.
The Cameroon internationalist played an hour as Andy Kirk’s side lost to Motherwell and although he admits it was tough going, he’s just delighted to be back playing after being out injured for six-months.
Speaking to HeartsTV, he said: “I’m really happy to be back on the pitch. It’s been a while for me.
“The result was not the best but personally, I’m just happy to be back, enjoying playing. I feel good which, for me, is most important.
“I think the first ten/fifteen minutes was quite tough. When you start a game like that and it’s intense as well because Motherwell played well and physically, but I managed to play an hour and I feel good.
“I just get on with it. It’s a part of my game. Even when I start training, I just go directly into challenges and fight all the time.
“That’s part of my game so for me it was good. I think it’s better to start like this, to have high intensity, high impact and physical impact.
“It’s good for me to get back to my level and I’m just happy to be back.”
