Heart of Midlothian FC was saddened to hear of the recent passing of former club Physiotherapist Andy Stevenson.
Andy, pictured above on the far right of the middle row, passed away on Monday 5th February 2018 aged 99.
He came to Hearts in July 1974 under manager, Bobby Seith, and he was a full-time physiotherapist who also looked after the kit. Andy was an experienced and likeable character around the ground and gave eight years service to Hearts working under managers, Bobby Seith, John Hagart, Willie Ormond, Bobby Moncur, Tony Ford and Alex MacDonald.
After failing to gain promotion from the First Division in 1981-82, Hearts had to make staff cuts and Andy eventually left the club in June 1982.
Prior to joining Hearts he spent 10 years at Dunfermline Athletic, where he is also fondly remembered.
The club would like to pass on its sincere condolences to Andy's friends and family.
