Alim Ozturk has left Heart of Midlothian to join Turkish outfit Boluspor.
The 24-year-old has penned an 18-month contract with the Bolu-based club after negotiating his release from the Jambos over the weekend.
Centre-half Alim joined Hearts back in June 2014 and played a big part in helping the Jam Tarts cruise to the Championship title in record-breaking fashion.
The following season he captained the club to a third place finish and a return to European football.
This campaign saw the Dutch-born Turk struggle to make an impact in the first-team, and he leaves Tynecastle having made 74 appearances in a maroon shirt, scoring 7 goals in the process.
Alim will forever be remembered in Gorgie for his last-minute, 40-yard screamer that broke Hibs’ hearts at Easter Road in October 2014, securing the Jambos a point and helping to maintain an unbeaten record that lasted nearly seven months.
The club would like to thank Alim for his time at Hearts and wish him all the best with his career in the future.
