51 SHIRTS | Official Book Launch and Evening with Legends

16th May 2022

ENJOY THE BIG BUILD-UP TO THE FINAL AND CELEBRATE THE GREATEST SCOTTISH CUP FINAL VICTORY IN HEARTS’ HISTORY IN THE COMPANY OF CLUB LEGENDS AND FELLOW JAMBOS.

Just added: Paulo Sergio will be in attendance!

51 Shirts, the much-anticipated book from Hearts’ shirt collector, Grant Young, is being released on 19 May to coincide with the 10th anniversary of Hearts’ famous victory against Hibs in the 2012 Scottish Cup Final.  The book is a labour of love for Grant who is one of the country’s leading shirt collectors and of course, a dyed in the wool Jambo.  Profits from the sale of the book will be shared between MND Scotland and the Hearts Heritage department.

The official launch event is planned for the Gorgie Suite on Friday, May 20th, the night before we take on Rangers in this year’s Scottish Cup Final.  We are planning a very special event to celebrate 51 Shirts publication involving some of the legends who appear in the book with all the jerseys that feature being on display.

Scottish Cup-winning heroes and club legends will join Paul Mitchell for an evening of nostalgia. Our Principal Ambassador, Gary Locke, heads a panel that includes Paulo Serrgio, Jim Jefferies, as well as fan favourites such as Jamie McDonald, Walter Kidd, Henry Smith, Gary Mackay and Billy Brown. Look out for other surprise appearances too as legends make their way back to the capital for the Scottish Cup final.  The panel will share the stories behind the iconic jerseys that feature in 51 Shirts.

Tickets for what will be a memorable evening are priced at only £30 and include:

  • a copy of 51 Shirts (worth £25)
  • a drink on arrival
  • curry or burger

Why not come along and enjoy what promises to be a memorable event reliving some of the finest moments in Hearts’ history as told by the legends themselves.

We expect this to be a very popular event, so you are advised to book early.  Come along and enjoy a great night of nostalgia with Club legends and help support 2 important causes at the same time.

You can book your place along with your copy of the book here

Doors open at 17:00.  Food will be served from 17:30 and panel discussions begin at 18:45.
