Director of Football Craig Levein has been bowled over by the fans’ dedication to the club as season ticket sales have now crashed through the 10,000 barrier.
Jambos everywhere have been quick to confirm that they’re #SteppingUp into the Scottish Premiership with the Championship winners, and Craig expressed his delight at such a huge figure being reached so quickly.
Speaking to Hearts News, he said: “It’s an outstanding achievement. To have the backing that we had last season was incredible, and to see that continued this season is wonderful especially when you consider that the season has only just finished.
“We’ve sold that amount of season tickets without even having made any announcements about new signings and suchlike. The more people who buy season tickets then the better it is for our budget. We’re trying our best to get the best quality in that we can for the money available, and our aim is to perform even better this season than last.
“If we can sell out season tickets, then that would be amazing. We made the decision as the board of directors, because the demand was so high for tickets last season, to up the season ticket numbers to allow as many Hearts supporters as possible to buy seats.
“I’m delighted to see that they’re well on their way to taking us up on that.”
Existing season ticket holders have until 5pm on Wednesday, June 10 to claim their existing seats, the same day that Phase One pricing ends.
Sales will then open back up for Phase Two pricing on Monday, June 15.
Supporters can bag their seat now for Hearts’ return to the top flight by going online to Hearts eTickets, calling 0871 663 1874, option 1 then 1 (calls cost 10p per minute plus your standard network rate) or by dropping into the Hearts Ticket Centre on McLeod Street.
