Match Report

Hearts held on despite a late Hibernian comeback to see off their city rivals at the Oriam.

Hearts captain Connor Smith opened the scoring after 35 minutes with a great finish from 18-yards, and Ryan Schiavone almost made it two before half-time only to be denied by Hibs keeper Jay Cantley.

Leeroy Makovora got his second in two weeks just after half-time, scoring a header from a corner and doubling Hearts' advantage.

Cammy Logan scored a Ryan McGowan-esque finish from two yards to make the score 3-0 after 70 minutes and it appeared that the Wee Jambos had the game wrapped up.

However, Hibs scored in the 79th minute to hand themselves a lifeline and set up a nervy finish after scoring again in the 90th. But, the Jam Tarts held on for another Derby win this season.
