Cammy's ready to go

Our midfield general had to sit out a handful of games during pre-season with a slight knock but has since returned to training with a clean bill of health. 
 
There’s scarcely been a better time to return to the fray, with a mouth-watering derby clash with Hibs set for Sunday lunchtime at Easter Road.

Cammy, by now, knows a thing or two about this fixture, and said the boys in maroon have enjoyed a positive week of preparation for the first derby of the 22/23 season. 
 
“I’m ready to go! I obviously had a little bit of a hiccup at the end of pre-season, but I’m feeling good and glad to be back for what’s going to be an important week,” he told the media ahead of the game.
 
“At the end of the day, we’re preparing for this the right way like every other game. We want to win, just as we did when we faced Ross County. It has that bit of extra meaning for the fans, and we want to go out and get a result for them.
 
“I’m obviously a bit more used to these games now. I get the meaning of it to the club, to the fans, and to people all around Edinburgh. Seeing that tickets are sold out excites us as well, the players all feel appreciated.
 
“Since I’ve been here, we’ve yet to lose one. We’ve drawn a couple but picked up the right results at points as well. Everyone here wants to try and get consecutive wins.
 
“We go into every game with confidence, no matter who it’s against. We know that if we play to the best of our abilities, within the structures we’re taught, we’re capable of winning this game. That’s what we prepare all week for.”
