Bookkeeper and Administrator (Part-Time 16 hours per week)
Location - Edinburgh
Salary - £14,332 gross per annum, pro rata (£7.35 p/h)

Located at Tynecastle Stadium, Edinburgh, the Heart of Midlothian Education & Community Trust aims to utilise the "Power of Sport" to motivate, educate and inspire thousands of children and adults within our community, through a range of innovative and progressive programmes and events.

A Bookkeeper and Administrator is required to provide assistance and support to Trust staff in areas of Accounts, Data input and general office administration covering telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence. The post will report to the Community Development Manager at Heart of Midlothian Football Club.

The post holder will administer the day-to-day running duties of the Trust, supporting the Community Development Manager and project coordinators. The successful applicant will work to an agreed routine, ensuring accurate administration of the charity's business.

This role will challenge your accounts, communication and administrative skills in an exciting sports based environment.

Essential requirements of the post holder:

  • Proficiency in use of the SAGE accounts system
  • Experienced in accounts/bookkeeping
  • Ability to monitor budgets.
  • Effective organisational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office

    Main duties:

  • Updating and maintaining the SAGE accounts system in line with company requirements
  • Procurement, purchase ordering and tracking
  • Manual and online banking
  • Salary and expense processing
  • General correspondence using Microsoft Office
  • Written communication with a variety of individuals and groups
  • Administration of all Trust programmes and activities
  • Writing and recording minutes of Trust meetings.
  • Welcoming and receiving guests and visitors to Tynecastle Stadium
  • Assisting/leading with fundraising activities both on and off the premises
  • Match-day involvement when required
  • Represent the Trust both internally and externally as and when required
