We've got a little admission to make about Princes Street Gardens.

Indeed if you look closely at the brand new Heart of Midlothian Merchandise collection for 2009-09 you'd perhaps have noted it...

You see, we didn't shoot the catalogue on one day. In fact we didn't shoot the catalogue in two!

It took four days and nine different players before (all artistic factors considered - did we really just say that?) every piece of replica kit and trainingwear were successfully shot. That's the detail involved in a project like this.

For the replica kit range we used the entrance to the Gardens from Princes Street as a supplementary location to support our cover shot (of which more later). For trainingwear we visited the Ross Fountain at the West end of the Gardens (more of that next time we're 'On location').

Our favourite picture is of Christian Nade, Gary Glen, and Marian Kello deciding to dance in full view of the great Edinburgh public (and the cameras).
