Hearts trio of goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald, defender Lee Wallace and striker Calum Elliot played their part as Scotland U21s cruised to victory over their Lithuanian counterparts this afternoon.

The match in the Baltic state took place in Marijampole and the win is a major boost towards Scotland's hopes of qualifying for European U21 Championships which take place next year in Sweden.

Billy Stark's side won the game 3-0, courtesy of goals from Scott Arfield, Ross McCormack, and Kevin MacDonald.

Calum was named on the bench, but came on to replace Charlie Mulgrew after just 28 minutes.

Scotland U21: MacDonald, Caddis, Wallace, McArthur, Cuthbert, Considine, Lennon, Arfield (Robertson 64), Ross McCormack, McDonald (Dorrans 82), Mulgrew (Elliot 28). Subs not used: McLean, Mitchell, Darren McCormack, Conroy.
