Hearts this afternoon confirmed the signing of Anthony Basso from Auxerre on a two-year deal.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper penned his deal at Tynecastle this afternoon after a successful trial period.

Assistant boss Stephen Frail told Hearts News today: "We're pleased to welcome Anthony to Hearts. He looked a good player during his trial period.

"Now he has a prolonged period during which he can become more familiar with Hearts and Edinburgh and stake his claim for a place in the team."
