A big thank-you!
The Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust today thanked Hearts supporters for their generosity in a recent fundraising exercise.
Hearts fans were asked to consider an entirely voluntary donation to the Trust with this season's Season Ticket purchase and hundreds made the generous gesture.
Alan White, Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust progamme manager, said: "The Trust want to acknowledge the kindness of many of the club's supporters. We understand that a Season Ticket purchase is a sizeable expense and for so many fans to have also made a donation to the Trust is a great reflection on the goodwill that exists towards the Trust.
"We have now been in operation since 2006 and every year we are raising more money which allows us to help more people and organisations in and around the city of Edinburgh and the surrounding areas to develop their true potential.
"We hope that many more supporters will also consider future fundraising activities for the Trust in future years and we are always happy to talk with anyone who feels they can further our fundraising efforts. As a registered charity we are also eligible for donations from peoples efforts in marathons or other similar sponsored events. Even the smallest donation can make a big difference."
The Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust aims to develop people across five key sectors - education, health, social, club development and grassroots sport.
