Jason Thomson and Jonny Stewart have joined Raith Rovers on loan until the end of the season.

The pair will maintain their sharpness under John McGlynn as the Fife side seek to haul themselves up the First Division table.

It will be Jason's second loan spell in the Kingdom this season, having spent the early part of the 2011/12 campaign at Dunfermline before injury meant an early return to Tynecastle.

Jonny has been named as a substitute on a number of occasions this term, but hasn't made a first team appearance and will welcome the chance of regular football at Stark's Park.

The pair are the latest of several young Jambos to have featured for Raith on a temporary basis this season.

Jamie Walker is also a Raith player until the summer, while Jason Holt, David Smith, Denis Prchynenko and Jason's younger brother Danny have also gained valuable experience with the Fifers this season.
