Hearts Youth Development Committee held their annual "It's not just a Burns Supper" event in the Gorgie Suite on Sunday 19th February.

The event was hosted by HYDC Chairman Calum Robertson and nearly 200 people attended. The audience heard Edinburgh Council Deputy Leader Steve Cardownie deliver a tremendous "Immortal Memory" of Roberts Burns.

The music and poetry was performed by the "Poosie Nansie Burns Club" and the "Toast Tae the Lassies" was performed by Poosie Nansie stalwart Arthur Johnstone.

Among the highlights was an impromptu song by Dr Brian Venters AKA Susan Boyle.

Supporters Clubs Orwell Hearts and Tollcross Hearts very generously donated cheques on the night that boosted HYDC funds by over £1300.

Hearts Director of Football John Murray was delighted to receive the cheques on behalf of HYDC.
