Jamie signs new deal
Hearts star Jamie MacDonald today agreed a two-year contract extension.
The goalkeeper's deal was due to expire at the end of the season but the new agreement keeps him at Tynecastle until the summer of 2014.
The 25-year-old first signed for the Edinburgh club from Musselburgh Athletic in 2003, making his first team debut against Rangers at Ibrox in August 2008.
The former Scotland U21 international ended last season as the club's No. 1 but has been restricted to a handful of starts this term due to the form of Slovakian star Marian Kello.
Despite seeing his opportunities limited, Jamie has continued to perform admirably for the Gorgie side when called upon, his first appearance of the current campaign coming in the 0-0 draw with Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in the second leg of the Europa League play-off in August.
The highlight of an inspired display from the Broxburn-born ace was a terrific first half penalty save as the English giants were held to a scoreless draw in London.
