Match Preview: Hearts v St. Mirren
Hearts welcome St. Mirren to Tynecastle with the home side enjoying a fine run of form.
The Jambos are unbeaten in their last five matches in all competitions, and have only conceded one goal - which they scored themselves!
Paulo Sergio hopes to be able to call on Darren Barr after he was stretchered off last weekend against Auchinleck Talbot, whilst Jamie Hamill is fit after being rested against the Junior side, along with several other first team players.
Hearts are unbeaten in the last six meetings between the two sides. You have to go back to February 2010 for St. Mirren's last victory of the Gorgie side in a league cup semi final. Their last league win over the JTs was in September 2009.
Danny Lennon's side have drawn four of their last six games, including last week's goalless Scottish Cup encounter with Hamilton. Their last victory came over Rangers at new St. Mirren Park on Christmas Eve.
SPL Young Player of the Month Paul McGowan is joint top scorer for the Buddies alongside Steven Thompson, both on five league goals.
Rudi Skacel leads the scoring charts at Tynecastle, also with five goals. It is worth noting that the Czech midfielder netted five times against the Paisley side last season, including a hat-trick at Tynecastle in October 2010.
Hearts have a good overall record against St Mirren, boasting 91 league wins to the Buddies' 62, with 56 draws between the two.
