Marian: Leaving would be a wrench
Hearts No. 1 Marian Kello has shrugged off speculation over his future - but has admitted it will be a wrench if the time comes to leave Tynecastle.
The Slovakian international sees his current contract expire in the summer, although he has been linked with a move out of Gorgie, with Clydesdale Bank Premier League leaders Celtic reported to be keen on his services.
The popular shot-stopper is philosophical about what lies ahead but whatever the future holds, he remains grateful to the Edinburgh club for the opportunity given to him.
"I have been three-and-a-half years here and it was a good move for me," he told the broadcast media at today's pre-match press conference at Riccarton.
"It was a step forward for me and I am very happy here. It is a good club. I have had some talks about a new contract but I want to know where the club is heading, what is going to happen. If everything is fine and settled, then we can start to talk again.
"I haven't thought about what might happen. Some of the players might go, some might not.
"If I am told I have to leave for the money then it will be difficult for me as I am settled here. But I want to help the club. It has been an honour playing for them and if they ask me to go I would be happy to pay them something back."
On HeartsTV today, Marian and Paulo meet the media at Riccarton ahead of St Mirren clash on Saturday.
