Paulo Sergio wasn't too disappointed to take a point home from Pittodrie after both teams struggled to get to grips with the conditions.

Gale force winds meant it was difficult for any quality to come to the fore and the movement of the ball was heavily affected - both on and off the ground.

Neither side was able to break the deadlock, but Paulo praised his players' attitude.

He told HeartsTV exclusively: "What we can talk about is the character and attitude of the players.

"The wind made it difficult, especially for a team like us - we want to play with the ball on the floor. Sometimes in weather like this, you make mistakes that allow the other team to profit.

"After all, it's a good point away from home."

The manager also had a special word for the hardy Hearts supporters who braved the elements and travelled to the North East.

He continued: "I have to say thanks and show my appreciation for our supporters who made this long trip to come and support us on a day like this.

""For them, I wish more than anything we had gotten the three points because they deserve it."
