Match Preview: Hearts v Motherwell
Hearts take on third placed Motherwell this weekend on the back of their biggest win of the season.
Last week's 4-0 triumph over Dunfermline was the Jambos' most convincing win of the campaign, and their second in five league matches.
Motherwell are in fine form, unbeaten in four of their last five and sit third the Clydesdale Bank Premier League table. Their last defeat came at home to Celtic at the beginning of November.
The last encounter saw Motherwell edge a 1-0 win at Fir Park in August. Jamie Murphy netted the game's only goal after Ian Black had been sent off for Hearts.
Hearts' last win over the Steelmen came last December, when an own goal and Kevin Kyle's second half penalty, either side of Keith Lasley's equaliser, sealed the win.
Motherwell's last win at Tynecastle came in September 2010; when current Hearts striker John Sutton scored in a 2-0 win. The big front man was again on target for Stuart McCall's men in April, netting twice as they came from 3-0 down to snatch a point.
Last week's late header meant Rudi Skacel moved ahead in the goal scoring charts with four league goals. Michael Higdon is Motherwell's top league marksman with seven.
The Jambos have an impressive overall record against the Lanarkshire club, with 122 league wins. 'Well have come out on top on 71 occasions, and the sides have drawn 53 times.
