Jamie Walker, Jason Holt and David Smith have all agreed deals which will keep them at the club until the summer of 2014.

U19 stars Jason and David both featured for the first team on the final day of last season in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League meeting with Dundee United at Tannadice, while striker Jamie has recovered well from a knee injury to help Darren Murray's side storm to the top of the league table.

The hat-trick of new agreements reflects the club's desire to focus even more on producing some of the country's best young talents, with Academy Director John Murray saying: "We think these boys have a lot to offer and this is a great opportunity for them to show what they can do.

"They have done well to earn new contracts. They have been given a platform - it is up to them to make the most of it."
