Hearts supporters, including The Federation of Hearts Supporters Clubs and The Heart of Midlothian Shareholders' Association, have joined forces to form the Hearts 1914 Memorial Trust.

The aim of the group is to raise enough funds to erect a memorial statue to what was arguably Hearts' greatest, if not our bravest side, in the history of our club. This is not a war memorial but a lasting tribute to the selfless act of the team of that season.

A special Sports Dinner is being held to launch the Memorial Trust. Hosted by Scott Wilson on Saturday, 8th October 2011 at 7.30pm in the Gorgie Suite, guest speakers will include John Robertson, Wilson Hunter and Scott Glynn.

Tickets are priced at £350 for a table of ten, or £35 each and the event is open to anyone over 18. Anyone wishing tickets can either contact Gordon Angus on 07944 573149, Terry O'Donnell at odonnellt@blueyonder.co.uk or their local supporters club.

On Hearts.TV and the official App, highlights of Sunday's derby triumph plus all the exclusive post-match reaction.
