Hearts supporters have helped raise over £20,000 for the charity which helps support Erskine in its aim of caring for ex-servicemen and women.

Hearts entered into the unique partnership with Erskine in July 2009 on the back of the club's own proud military heritage and thousands of Hearts supporters rallied behind the relationship.

During this time, Erskine has developed as a charity and has successfully launched its new Edinburgh home.

A spokesman for Erskine said "The partnership between Erskine and Hearts has come to its natural conclusion after two successful years of raising the profile and valuable funds for veterans in the Capital. We appreciate that the club have decided to concentrate future fundraising through their Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust to reinforce their efforts in the local community. We would like to thank Hearts for all of their support over the past two years and wish them every success in the coming season and beyond."

A spokesperson for Hearts said, "It has been an honour and a privilege to work in partnership with Erskine for the last two years. We knew when we entered into a relationship with Erskine it was a completely appropriate fit and the support of our fans has been tremendous. We are currently working closely with the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust and expect to announce some exciting plans in the near future which will involve developing the club's links in its local communities."
