The Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust is searching for volunteers to help with the maintenance and development of the new community football pitch behind Tynecastle Stadium

Use of the pitch was recently donated to the Trust by the neighbouring North British Distillery Company Ltd and the community team have been working hard to develop the facility into a surface suitable for young players.

The pitch sits in the shadow of the Wheatfield Stand and is a venue that is sure to inspire kids to get involved and enjoy the beautiful game.

Volunteers with relevant pitch maintenance and/or ground keeping experience are required to help with the day-to-day upkeep of the pitch. Interested individuals should also be experienced in using and maintaining grass cutting and ground maintenance equipment.

It is expected that work on the pitch will take place during office hours.

Benefits in relation to the role will be offered.

Interested individuals should contact alan@homplc.co.uk along with a brief note of experience, availability etc. by the end of May.
