Hearts winger David Templeton has been nominated for this season's SPFA Young Player of the Year.

The Gorgie youngster has been in impressive form, scoring seven goals in 26 league appearances and winning his first cap at Scotland U21 level.

Manager Jim Jefferies praised Temps' contribution in his first full season with the first team.

He said: "David had a fantastic start to the season, and also won international recognition with the Scotland U21s.

"His nomination comes as no surprise, and is fully merited."
