The Hearts Legends will start their 2011 charity match campaign with a game against a Parthenon Legends team at the Spartans Community Football Academy on Sunday (6pm).

Former Jambos already confirmed for the Legends include Henry Smith, Jimmy Sandison, Scott Crabbe, Brian McNaughton, Alan Lawrence, Neil Irvine and Kris O'Neil. First team coach Gary Locke will undergo a late fitness test due to a knee injury (answers on a postcard for the cause of that one!)

Alan McLaren, Jose Quitongo and John Robertson are all recovering from their Postcode Challenge ordeal and may also be available.

The Parthenon Legends is a special team made up of old and current Edinburgh Southern players, including two friends, Stuart Doyle and Chris Strother, who are undertaking a cycle challenge from the Athens Parthenon to the Edinburgh Parthenon (the National Monument on Calton Hill) to raise funds for St Columba's Hospice.

Stuart and Chris have organised this match as a unique way to raise funds for the Heart of Midlothian Education and Community Trust and the Hospice.

Tickets for the match are priced at £5 and are available from Stuart or Chris at They will also be sold in all Edinburgh Central Starbucks Stores. Alternatively just turn up on the night and pay at the gate.

Get along and support both teams for these great causes!
