Driver comes through return
Andrew Driver has come through his first-team return unscathed, Hearts boss Jim Jefferies revealed today.
The Tynecastle winger made his first appearance of the season as a substitute in the 1-0 win over St Johnstone on Saturday, his second-half involvement bringing his injury nightmare to an end.
The wide man revelled in his return in front of the Gorgie faithful, bringing them to their feet with a couple of trademark bursts down the touchline.
Andrew has reported no ill effects to his run out and will be hoping to remain involved when Hearts head to Ibrox on Wednesday with the opportunity of leapfrogging Rangers into second place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
"Andrew came through the weekend without any problems," said JJ, "which is obviously good news as he has been out for so long.
"We'll see what happens on Wednesday and how we shape up for Ibrox now."
Striker Kevin Kyle, who has missed his side's last four matches, is battling to make the trip along the M8 to Govan, with the manager adding: "Kevin is continuing to improve and we'll have another look at him this week.
"If he doesn't make Wednesday, then I'd say there's every chance he'll be ready for our next league game against Hamilton."
With no fixture this weekend, Jim has organised a bounce game at East Fife on Saturday when he will use the opportunity to field some of his fringe stars and younger players.
