Hearts manager Jim Jefferies has been boosted by the return to full training of Andrew Driver.

The winger has yet to feature this season as he bids to recover from injury following successful knee surgery in the summer.

But his first-team prospects took a major step forward when he re-joined his team-mates at Riccarton this morning for the first time.

"Andrew joined us today for the first time so we are gradually getting there," said JJ.

"By training with the first team he will get up to speed so I would think that after the international break things should be looking good.

"He's not ready for any bounce games yet and needs another week with us. He's just been training with the physio over the last two or three weeks and has been on a set programme. The next stage of that is training with us, we'll have a look at him and we'll try to get a couple of games for him before we think about considering him for the first team.

"There's not much need to rush him as Templeton is in fine form and we'll be checking how Skacel's fitness levels are. We can give him a bit of time so he is right and proper so that when he does come back challenging for a place he has less chance of breaking down."
