From Hearts News in Kent

Darren Barr last night admitted that the Hearts squad can't wait for today's test against Millwall in Neil Harris' testimonial at the New Den (kick-off 3pm, live on Hearts.TV from 2.55pm).

The Tynecastle side conclude their short stay in England looking to build on Thursday's result and performance against Gillingham.

Hearts secured a 2-1 win, coming from behind, in a game that Darren played 90 minutes at right-back, having started at centre-half earlier in the week at Dunfermline.

"There is a buzz about Millwall," Darren told journalists down at the team's base in Kent.

"It is going to be a big step up for us, even from the game against Gillingham.

"I don't know a lot about them or Neil [Harris], just what the boys have told me, but I know there is going to be a good crowd and they have just been promoted so I am sure it is going to be a good game.

"First and foremost we want to get our match fitness but at the same time you want to win. That goes for every game you play.

"We now have Millwall, Wolves and Blackburn and I am sure there will be a buzz before each of these games and we want to show what we can do.

"They have a lot of good players and we'll need to be on our toes."

Darren also revealed he's happy to slot in wherever manager Jim Jefferies selects him - be that right-back or central defence.

"I am enjoying it. Everyone has been really good to me and the boys have made me fell more than welcome," he continued. "I just need to kick on now.

"No matter where I play I am more than happy. If it right back for Hearts or centre half for Hearts it is still a step up for me. And I want to impress whatever position I play in.

"So the bottom line is if he wants me to play centre-half or right back that is fine with me because there are top players in there.

"We have Marius, we have Bouzid and Lee Wallace as well so things are looking really good.

"The reason I came to Hearts was to become a better football player and hopefully I can benefit from playing with the guys we have here.

"I want to help the club go where it wants to go and be a part of it.

"You can feel more expectation around the place but you have to deal with that, that's why you become a footballer in the first place.

"Even when we are at training there is a feel about the place and I can't wait to play at home as well where there will be even more pressure and expectation.

"I relish that. I had been at Falkirk for so long but you can't dwell on the past, it's all onwards and upwards hopefully.

"You come down here and see our fans everywhere we go. Expectations are high but this is where I want to be."
