Director Sergejus Fedotovas today praised the Hearts fans for snapping up over 8500 season tickets - more than two months before the season kicks off.

Sales have been strong since the launch of the season tickets and Sergei has been delighted with the response so far.

Addressing this morning's annual general meeting at Tynecastle, he said: "The campaign has been successful and is ongoing. We are far from the end of it and are hitting our targets.

"We are working at putting a squad together which will bring entertainment to Tynecastle and I would like to thank the fans for putting their trust in Jim Jefferies and buying their season tickets."

Meanwhile, supporters are reminded that current Season Ticket holders have until Monday (31st May) at 11.59pm to book their own seats for next season. From 0.00am on Tuesday 1st June, all unsold seats will be released for sale.

To help those supporters who prefer to book their seats via counter-sales, the club's Ticket Centre will remain open until 8pm on Monday night.

Attendances at Tynecastle have continued to rise in recent seasons with an increase for the third season in a row, as reported in the latest SPL's official figures.
