Hearts have made it clear they will rigorously defend any action taken against the club by former manager Csaba Laszlo.

Reports in newspapers have suggested Laszlo is consulting lawyers for a payment from the club.

However a club spokesperson made it quite clear that the club will not hesitate to defend their position.

The club spokesperson said: "We are not surprised to see Mr Laszlo seeking to profit from the club given his attitude towards the club before and after he left in January but we will rigorously defend our position if he proceeds in this way."
