Bonus from Bouzid as Ismael plays 90
Hearts were handed a boost yesterday with the news that Ismael Bouzid came through yesterday's close-door friendly against Motherwell.
Although a strong fringe side lost the game 2-1, in extremely poor weather, manager Jim Jefferies was delighted to see the Algerian come through the Riccarton test.
Other key first team players also got a useful run-out including Craig Thomson, David Templeton, and Arvydas Novikovas .
Calum Elliot played 20 minutes on the road to recovery, as he continues to battle back from a long standing knee problem.
"Ismael has missed a lot of games and we need to see how he reacts tomorrow when we'll have a better idea," JJ told Hearts News this morning.
"It was good for him to get 90 minutes under his belt, though."
Jim revealed that he's mindful of throwing Ismael back into action, because of the sheer importance of this weekend game, especially with the Algerian recovering from a hamstring injury.
"It is not just a game to throw him in this weekend though [against Kilmarnock] because it's very important and he's got to be right," he said.
"There are other games after the split when we can get him back in, if need be."
